About me and my qualifications:

Beginning with a Bachelor of Science in Education, I received a double major in Elementary Education/Special Education with a focus on Reading and Early Childhood Intervention.

My first 13 years of teaching in the public school,  I specialized in special needs students from birth to 21.  My thirst to explore more ways to help struggling readers began in 2001.  I received in depth training through the Scottish Rite Hospital Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia in Dallas and became a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) in 2003.  Additionally, I received my Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT) certification and served as the Frankston Independent School District Dyslexia Specialist (Elementary, Middle School, High School) and Response to Intervention (RTI) teacher (Elementary) until my retirement from teaching in 2014.

However, because of my passion to help people reach their full potential, I have continued private tutoring in addition to substituting and helping with state testing.
